Tony Bowen
After studying business strategy, Tony held a number of senior business development roles outside of the automotive industry before joining Strathcarron in 1996. A partner since 2003, Tony has extensive experience in business and customer relations development and project management.
A classic car enthusiast and ex-motorcyclist looking for a Suzuki GT750 ‘kettle’ project. Tony is a keen blues guitarist who used to play pubs and clubs but now collects Fender guitars and amps, and teaches his daughter to play.
Jules Kite
Jules has managed technical roles at several OEMs – McLaren, Bentley, BMW and Ford. He worked in China managing the SAIC brake department and later – team leader of the chassis department within Ricardo engineering consultancy. He joined Strathcarron in 2013, partner in 2017, became chartered engineer and member of the IMechE.
He is an avid practitioner and scholar of taijiquan, kungfu, yoga and teaches meditation having travelled and trained extensively in Asia. Motorbikes and mountains are a passion – nothing beats being out in the elements especially on two wheels and combined with a shear rock face or summit vista, this makes for the perfect trip.
Graeme Clark
Graeme joined Strathcarron in 2014, after a senior role at Ricardo on whole vehicle, chassis and powertrain projects for both road car and military projects. Having previously worked for Bentley and Nissan, he has gained over 20 years experience in project management and automotive design engineering for both high volume production cars and low volume high-end sports cars.
Keen cyclist and frustrated surfer – living in Motorsport Valley you can’t get much further from the sea.
Joel McWhinney
Before joining Strathcarron & Co. in 2016, Joel was development engineer for an Icelandic company, supporting the emissions testing of an advanced carburettor system. He then moved to Aston Martin Lagonda's Current Vehicle Engineering team, providing engineering support to the production line for process, design and parts quality issues, and supported suppliers through critical engineering problems and supply concerns. And then a Senior Chassis Engineer developing a knowledge in brakes, EPB and other components.
Lover of music, the outdoors and camping. Off-road motor biker, regularly at events and takes part in Enduro championships.
Debbie Canning
Debbie is our central office manager and responsible for anchoring the team together with her administrative and organisational prowess. Debbie has worked in hotels, a SAAB dealership, and then as a PA at senior board level in timber importing, business travel and electrical distribution industries where she also gained experience in personnel management. Debbie joined Strathcarron in 2005.
In her spare time she loves walking the dog, dancing, sewing and going to live music events.
Paul Wilkinson
Paul recently joined Strathcarron & Co. (Feb. 2019) after two years at Tata Technologies as lead engineer in the seating team, sourced onto JLR programmes delivering seats for the Land Rover Evoque and Jaguar I-Pace. Previous to Tata Paul spent 5 years at JLR Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) as a project engineer in the Interior trim team delivering many commodities on several Halo vehicles.
Keen runner and footballer offset by the love of craft beer, European city breaks, music festivals, skiing and watching European football games.
