Tony Bowen

After studying business management and strategy, Tony held a number of technical business development roles outside the automotive industry before joining Strathcarron in 1996. A partner since 2003, Tony has extensive experience in business development, client and customer relations management and financing strategy.

A classic car, motorbike and music lover, his limited spare time is spent walking the dog, watching live music and trying to improve his blues guitar playing skills!

Jules Kite

Jules Kite

Jules has enjoyed technical management roles at several OEMs including McLaren, Bentley, BMW and Ford. He worked in China managing the SAIC brake department and later in the UK Midlands as team leader of Ricardo UK's consultancy chassis department. He joined Strathcarron in 2013, became partner in 2017 and a chartered engineer as a EUR ING qualified member of the IMechE.

He is an avid practitioner of taijiquan, yoga and teaches meditation having travelled & trained extensively in Asia. Motorbikes and mountains are a passion – nothing beats being out in the elements especially on two wheels or exploring new summits.

Graeme Clark

Graeme joined Strathcarron from Ricardo, where he held senior roles managing whole vehicle, chassis and powertrain projects. He has worked across all corners of the UK including international secondments in Spain, USA and Japan. At OEMs including Nissan and Bentley, Graeme gained expertise in design & management from high volume to niche sports cars. He joined Strathcarron in 2014 and became partner in 2020.

He has a lifelong love of cars and the outdoors, most happy exploring in his campervan, climbing mountains and chasing surf, living the vanlife.

 

Joel McWhinney

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Joel McWhinney

Joel is an experienced lead engineer and technical specialist in braking technologies. Before joining Strathcarron in 2016, Joel was Senior Engineer at Aston Martin Lagonda developing brake systems for the iconic brand’s luxury sports cars. Prior to this within the Vehicle Engineering team providing manufacturing process, design & quality support helping suppliers through critical engineering problems and supply concerns. After graduating Joel was development engineer for an Icelandic company, testing advanced carburettor system emissions.

A lover of music, outdoors & camping, off-road motor biking - regularly spectating at events and participating in Enduro championships.

 

 

 

Paul Wilkinson

ASSOCIATE

Paul Wilkinson

Paul joined Strathcarron in 2019 from Tata Technologies consultancy where he engineered seats for the Range Rover Evoque and Jaguar I-Pace BEV. Prior to Tata, Paul worked for Jaguar Landrover Special Vehicle Operations Interior team delivering Lightweight Sports Seats on the first JLR SVO halo vehicle "Project 7". Alongside seats, Paul has delivered interior trim components and smart systems on several SVO products.

A keen footballer and runner offset perfectly by the love of craft beer. He also enjoys travelling & city breaks, music festivals and attending European football games.

CENTRAL OFFICE MANAGER

Debbie Canning

Debbie is our central office manager and responsible for anchoring the team together with her administrative and organisational prowess. Debbie has worked in hotels, a car dealership, and then as a PA at senior board level in timber importing, business travel and electrical distribution industries where she also gained experience in personnel management. Debbie joined Strathcarron in 2005.

In her spare time she loves walking the dog, dancing, sewing and going to live music events.
